Maharashtra has set aside ₹2 crore for sending farmers abroad in 2025–26 to learn modern farming and export methods. The scheme, active since 2004, helps farmers gain global insights. Last year, ₹1.4 crore funded 120 farmers and six officials. Some say the budget is still low. Destinations are yet to be decided. The plan supports farm modernization and global exposure.
