India has developed AdFalciVax, its first indigenous dual-stage malaria vaccine, targeting both liver and transmission stages of Plasmodium falciparum. Created by ICMR in collaboration with DBT institutes, it enhances protection, improves thermal stability, and enables scalable production using bacterial systems like Lactococcus lactis.
