The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment launched India’s first transgender-led health clinic in Mumbai on July 4, 2025. Operated by transgender healthcare professionals, it provides medical and mental health services to the transgender community. The initiative aims to promote inclusive healthcare and align with India’s goal of social equity and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being).
