On July 10, 2025, several Lucknow-based educational institutes launched the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0" tree-planting campaign, planting 300 saplings at Lucknow University and 200 at National PG College, plus additional plantings at Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti University. The initiative uses fruit-bearing, ornamental, and medicinal species to foster environmental stewardship and emotional connection with nature.
