On 18 June 2025, India and France began the 8th Exercise Shakti at Camp Larzac, France. Around 90 Indian soldiers from J&K Rifles and French troops are taking part. The two-week drill focuses on joint planning, tactical coordination, and modern warfare skills. It strengthens India-France defence ties and highlights India's growing global military role.
